Final Visit to Spurn Point

We visited Spurn Point today to capture the introduction and closing to the documentary.

Upon arriving, the gates to the entrance where closed to vehicles, so we walked down to the lighthouse. By this time, the light had fallen, and it was beginning to become dark.

We arrived at a place which was not the originally intended spot to film, but as the light conditions, and the whether took their affects, the sound and visual quality would have been affected had we continued to venture to our original location.

We filmed several shots of the introduction, and the outro, whilst making sure we had enough content to be able to use for the final piece.

The documentary voice over will be recorded later this week, and the video content will also all be put together, to complete the documentary.

Had all members of the group participated in the development of this documentary, we may not have come across these obstacles, as the visit may have taken place at an earlier date, but due to completing other peoples roles within the group, time constraints meant that this was the only feasible time to visit, and record the beginnings and ending to our film.

Three of us went to Spurn on this occasion, as we need a camera man, a behind the scenes camera shooter, and myself, as the presenter.

This is the third time I have visited Spurn point, after visiting to glean video shots, and appropriate places for a piece to camera, and also to complete other roles such as taking photographs for the archives.
